Včeraj je umrl Masazo Nonaka, najstarejši zemljan, ki ni poznal stresa. Guinnessov rekorder je umrl naravne smrti, mirno je odšel v spanju.

Na Japonskem je umrl Masazo Nonaka z otoka Hokaido, ki je glede na Guinnessovo knjigo rekordov s 113 leti veljal za najstarejšega moškega na svetu. Nonaka se je rodil julija 1905 – torej zgolj nekaj mesecev prej, preden je Albert Einstein objavil svojo teorijo relativnosti, 10. aprila lani pa je – po Guinnessovi knjigi rekordov – postal najstarejši živeči moški na planetu.

Njegova vnukinja Juko je poudarila, da je »odšel velik človek«, in povedala, da je družina pretresena, da so ga izgubili: »Še včeraj je bilo vse kot po navadi. Preminil je, ne da bi kar koli kazalo na to.« Le v posteljo naj bi šel najstarejši zemljan malo prej kot običajno. »Imela sva številna nesoglasja, toda izpolnjena sem z občutki hvaležnosti,« je ob izgubi dedka svoje čustvovanje opisala vnukinja.

Nonaka je preživel svojo ženo in tri otroke, zadnja leta se je gibal s pomočjo invalidskega vozička. Svojih življenjskih navad naj ne bi spreminjal niti v zadnjem obdobju. Kot vsa leta prej je prebral časopis po zajtrku, rad je spremljal samurajske drame in sumo borbe, ki si jih je ogledal na televiziji. Po kosilu si je rad privoščil sladkarije, so povedali člani njegove družine, pa tudi sicer je imel zelo rad sladkarije vseh vrst. Enkrat na teden si je privoščil kopel v topli vodi iz družinskih vrelcev. Prav tople kopeli in sladkarije je sam Nonaka imel za skrivnost svojega dolgega življenja. Njegova vnukinja pa je menila, da je dolgo živel tudi zato, ker ni poznal stresa.


Sicer pa je Japonska dom mnogih najstarejših ljudi, veliko je starih 100 let ali več. Število stoletnikov se z leti povečuje: leta 1963, ko so ta podatek začeli beležiti, so jih našteli 153, lani pa kar 69.785. Večina izmed njih – skoraj devet desetin – je žensk.
